Avoid street pop up
This time, Avoid Street took over the 'Unit'. Eduardo, a talented designer based in Amsterdam with international influences from Peru and Italy, created a new collection. The entire collection was showcased, and people could pre-order the beautiful items. In addition to the collection, we had a hair tattoo artist named Lyzard, who created an art piece on a volunteer's head. Drinks were provided by Oedipus, shoutout to them!
Gatto pop up
In our store, we created a store-within-a-store concept called the "Unit." Designers can showcase their new collections and artwork in the "Unit" and organize an opening party. Our first-ever Unit launch was with Gatto, a brand created by Olivia Lottersberger and Floyd Rorije, who are among the most promising and talented designers in the Netherlands. After graduating from the Artez Academy, they moved to Vienna to build on their legacy. Shout out to Peroni for the drinks!
Viola Renate x Dream Unit exhibition
We hosted an exhibition at gallerie de schans in the Bonne Suits store. Viola Renate and Dream Unit created an extraordinary carpet which we launched at this exhibition. The carpet named 'Pussy Pet' has five editions and is still available online and in store, only three left!
Dream Unit x Platform event
We organised a market and a party together with the Platform. Good vibes, nice people and a lot of drinks. Cool designers like Dragadina, Negative feed and Laura ter Veer showcased their newest creations.
Opening Party
On June 23, 2023, Dream Unit was founded. Within two months, we managed to find over 50 designers, secure a location in the heart of Amsterdam, and transform an old gallery into a store! Music was provided by the Caribbean collective Kurashi.
